Decontamination
Iron remover, clay bar treatment, and tar remover to completely clean the paint surface.
Paint Correction

IPA Wipe-Down
Isopropyl alcohol wipe strips all polishing oils for direct coating-to-clearcoat bond.
Coating Application
Applied panel by panel in our temperature-controlled studio. Each panel coated and levelled.

How much does ceramic coating cost?

Every package is paint correction plus a 2-year coating: $699 with one-stage correction, $1,100 with two-stage and $1,699 with three-stage. A 4-year coating adds $100 and a 6-year coating adds $200. Larger vehicles can cost more, and we confirm the price after a free paint assessment. We don't sell coating without correction.
How long does ceramic coating last?

2, 4 or 6 years, depending on the coating you choose. The correction stage is picked separately, based on how much your paint needs. Those figures assume pH-neutral hand washes and no brush car washes.
How long is my car at the studio?

1 to 3 days, depending on the package. The car stays indoors for at least 24 hours after the last layer so it cures before it sees rain. Full cure takes 7 to 14 days.
Does it help with winter salt?

Yes, and it's the main reason Scarborough drivers book it. Salt and brine sit on the coating and rinse off instead of etching the clear coat. It won't stop rock chips from the 401; that's paint protection film. Many commuters do PPF on the front end and ceramic on the rest, and we install both.
How do I wash a coated car?

Hand wash every 2 to 4 weeks with pH-neutral soap. Touchless washes are fine in between. Skip car washes with spinning brushes, because they still scratch. A maintenance spray every 3 to 6 months keeps the water beading, and sap or bird droppings should come off quickly.
Why are some ceramic coating quotes so much cheaper?

Usually it's the prep. Coating uncorrected paint takes an afternoon; correcting it first takes 1 to 3 days. The coating seals in whatever is underneath, swirls included. Ask any shop: is correction included, how many stages, and who backs the durability figure?

What You're Paying For
A ceramic coating is a liquid layer, mostly silicon dioxide (SiO2), that bonds to your clear coat and cures hard. Wax sits on top and wears off in weeks; a coating stays for years. Water beads off, salt and bird droppings sit on top instead of etching in, and the car washes clean with less rubbing, so you add fewer new swirls. A coating locks in whatever is under it, so every package starts with the paint. We inspect it under LED lights and take a paint-depth reading, strip iron and tar, clay bar it, then machine-polish through one, two or three stages. An IPA wipe takes off the polishing oils so the coating bonds to bare clear coat instead of residue.
